Notes on pronunciation
The "e" here is pronounced like the first "e" in the word "letter".
The "i" here sounds like the vowel in the word "see".Example: kalimera is pronounced "kaleemera" with the emphasis on the third "e".
We have used the English letter "h" or "kh" to correspond to the Greek "X", which is sometimes transliterated by "ch". But if we used "ch" you might be tempted to pronounce the word "echis" as "etch-ees" when it ought to be "ehhees".
