What child is this, who, laid to rest

On Mary's lap, is sleeping?

Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
천사들이 화답하며 아름다운 찬송을 부르는

While shepherds watch are keeping?
목자들이 지켜보는 가운데

Why lies He in such mean estate,
왜 그분이 이렇게 천한 위치에 누워 계시는가

Where ox and ass are feeding?
소와 말을 먹이는 그곳에?

Good Christian fear: for sinners here
선한 그리스도인들이 경외한다: 이 곳의 죄인들을 위해서

The silent Word is pleading
침묵의 말씀으로 변호하고 있습니다
